The Valorant , new Tactical FPS Riot Games , hit record ratings on Twitch TV even before its official release. The closed beta of the game was released last Tuesday (7) in the United States, Canada, Europe, Turkey and Russia, and in a week it exceeded the mark of 148 million hours watched on the platform. The old records of the platforms in seven days varied between 30 and 40 million and were reached by tournaments such as The International , of DotA 2 , the World of LoL and the Majors of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) . This was not the only expressive number of Valorant, who came to face problems in the servers due to the excess of players . The game has averaged 330,000 viewers in the past few days and peaked at 1.7 million simultaneous views, according to the TwitchMetrics portal. The Valorant beta is due to arrive in Brazil on May 5 . For comparison, only Fortnite hit 152 million hours watched in an entire month on the platform. The record was broken in July 2018, when successful streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was still on Twitch. Not even League of Legends , the most watched game in 2019, has managed to get closer to that mark. His record in one month was about 125 million hours watched during the 2019 LoL World Championship . Among the great streamers that made the transmissions of Valorant, it is worth mentioning Jaryd “summit1g” Lazar and Félix “xQcow” Lengyel, both figures stamped in FPS gaming communities, such as CS: GO and Overwatch . Valorant will be released in the winter of 2020 for free download on PCs.
