Google Pixel smartphones are on the agenda with a very interesting mistake. Dozens of Pixel owners have reported that they cannot verify their identity on their device, and each time they enter their password, the phone returns to the lock screen. An issue first reported about a month ago on the Pixel Phone Help forum appears on other Pixel, Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 series devices, but it seems to affect the Pixel XLs the most. Google recommends users suffering from the problem update or reset their device to the latest version of Android.
Pixel owners use PIN codes as well as fingerprints to secure their phones. In shared videos, when users enter the correct PIN code and click the login button, the screen suddenly turns black. Often users can overcome this error by introducing fingerprints; however, if the device is rebooted, they have to manually enter the password to bypass the lock screen. If you have a Pixel XL and you don’t have this problem yet, you should change your authentication method to use fingerprint technology. Other devices that suffer from the problem include the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and the OnePlus 7 Pro. A Google spokesperson acknowledged the issue on September 25th and told the company that it forwarded it to the product and engineering teams. However, the increase in the number of complaints from users shows that the problem has not been solved yet. We will continue to share with you if new developments occur.
