Cyber security company Check Point has released a new Chrome add-on called ZoneAlarm Web Secure Free, which protects Google Chrome users against phishing attacks, malicious downloads and dangerous websites for free. When the ZoneAlarm Web Secure Free plug-in is installed in Chrome, it becomes the browser’s default search engine. The search engine scans the search results and ranks them according to their potential risks. The plugin uses Check Point’s ThreatCloud database, which contains up-to-date global threat information. ZoneAlarm Web Secure Free also protects users against phishing attacks using ZoneAlarm Zero-Phishing technology. The technology scans all websites and warns users against attempts to steal personal data before any personal information is entered. Check Point’s new free security solution leverages ZoneAlarm Threat Extraction technology to enable users to securely download documents from emails and the web. Threat Extraction automatically removes suspicious or malicious code from documents in seconds. You can download the security plugin for free by going to the Chrome web store page of the ZoneAlarm Web Secure Free plugin from the link here.
